Catalog of the Singer Historical Collection deposited in the Cryptogamic Herbarium of the Miguel Lillo Foundation

Based on the review and faithful transcription of the labels that accompany the specimens that make up the Rolf Singer Historical Collection deposited in the Cryptogamic Herbarium of the Miguel Lillo Foundation, a catalog made up of 2932
specimens of fungi distributed in 318 genera and 1050 species. These specimens were collected and/ or identified by Dr. Singer and are part of the 21,300 materials in the mycological section of the before mentioned herbarium. The specimens come from
America, Europe, Oceania, Asia and Africa. 96% of the records belong to America. Among the American countries, Argentina includes 64% of the collected specimens and, within our country; the Province of Tucumán represents 57% of the collection.
The purpose of the catalog is to disseminate, strengthen and revalue mycological collections, facilitating access to biodiversity data by the scientific community and by anyone interested in understanding the funga, especially in northwestern Argentina.
