Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Proceso editorial y sistema de evaluación

Los trabajos son evaluados preliminarmente por el Equipo Editorial a fin de establecer si las temáticas se ajustan al alcance declarado por la revista. En caso de no responder a este requisito, los aportes son rechazados. Si en esta primera instancia el manuscrito es aceptado, será sometido a un arbitraje doble ciego cuya revisión debe aconsejar su publicación. En caso de que uno de los revisores desaconseje su aceptación, se recurre a un tercer árbitro o la decisión queda a cargo del Equipo Editorial.

El tiempo estimado del proceso de evaluación es aproximadamente de cuatro meses teniendo en cuenta la periodicidad de la revista.

Citas y bibliografía

Historia y Cultura sigue los lineamientos APA para citas y referencias. APA (http://www.apastyle.org/ y en español https://normas-apa.org/) es un formato genérico de edición y formato de textos, que incluye el manejo de citas y bibliografía. Su uso es ampliamente conocido.
