The genus Clavaria, as it is commonly interpreted, encompasses, in addition to the typical fragile and fleshy forms, a number of species of a strong gelatinous consistency. The latter are, in particular, characteristic of the tropics. This article analyzes five gelatinous species from tropical America, two of which are described as new.
