Cristóbal María E.; María E. Lozzia; Valeria de los A. Páez. 2009. Commelina obliqua Vahl: New cytotype for Argentina. Lilloa 46 (1-2). Morphologically described and studied cytologically a diploid cytotipe Commelina obliqua Vahl which was first mentioned for Argentina. The background literature identifies different ploidy from tetraploids to decaploides but not diploids. The karyotype is symmetrical and the formula is 22m + 8sm. Meiosis has irregularities. Pollen viability was estimated and germinability of seeds.
