Abstract

?Provisional list of the pteridophytes (ferns) of the province of Coquimbo (Chile)?. The author makes some interesting observations on the region around Coquimbo, citing twenty three species of pteridophytes (four of which he did not personally find), pertaining to the five families Hymenophyllaceae, Polypodiaceae, Ophioglossaceae, Salvinaceae, and Equisetaceae. He considers the commonest species to be Notholaena mollis and that the region has no endemic species of ferns.
