Diversidad de cianobacterias, clorofitas y euglenofitas en humedales de altura (Jujuy, Argentina)

The objective of this paper was to contribute to knowledge of biodiversity in High Wetlands belonging specially to Jujuy Province, by means of qualitative study of phytoplankton community. An interdisciplinary sampling was realized in summary, from 21 on January to 01 on February. Thirteen lakes from Vilama system and Pozuelos, Los Enamorados, Pastos Grandes and Runtuyoc lakes were studied. The qualitative samples were collected with plankton net of 20 µm and filtering of 25 litres of water. These samples were fixed in situ with formaldehyde 4% and observed with binocular microscopy and drawing camera in laboratory. According of results obtained the algae community, excepting diatoms, was formed by 40 taxa specially cosmopolites and brackish environments belong to cyanophytes (16), chlorophytes (20) and euglenophytes (4). We described for the first time to the Argentine Northwestern nine species and one variety and, besides taxonomical entities recently commented, others sixteen species and one variety are new cites to province of Jujuy.
