Polytrichadelphus bolivianus, a new Polytrichaceae from Northwest of Argentina

Polytrichadelphus bolivianus Herzog, a moss of the Montane Forest from Bolivia, is recorded for the first time from Argentina. The species was collected in the northern province of Salta, in 1997 and 1998, by Schiavone and others, but remained unidentified until now. A description, illustrations and a lectotypification of this species are here presented.
