Abstract

Albornoz, Patricia L.; Omar Varela; Juan C. Díaz Ricci. 2014. “Arbuscular mycorrhizal and dark septate endophytes in three species of Rosaceae Argentina”. Lilloa 51 (1). The especies of the Rosaceae family are susceptible to colonization by arbuscular mycorrhizal fungus. This paper describes the morphonanatomy types of colonization by mycorrhizal fungi in the radical system of three species of Rosaceae herbs (Duchesnea indica, Fragaria vesca, and Potentilla tucumanensis) inhabiting in the province of Tucumán, Argentina. The results reveal the coexistence of arbuscular mycorrhizae of Arum and Paris types, and septate endophytes in the three species. D. indica showed the highest arbuscular mycorrhizal colonization. A third fungal endophyte is found registered in D. indica and P. tucumanensis. The coexistence of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungus and dark septate in the three species studiet, and the Paris morphology in D. indica are described by the first time for Argentina
