The importance of the Lichens as phytogeographic indicators in the Southern Hemisphere

Abstract

After some considerations the author concludes that lichens with their high capacity to resist extreme climatic conditions are very valuable as phytogeographic indicators in the polar regions where not direct proves, from higher plants can be had.
