Notes on the Paleobotanical History of South America

Abstract

The author uses this opportunity to discuss some of the important phytogeographic relationships of the older fossil floras of South America with special reference to recent discoveries on the Antarctic continent and in southern Brazil and on a critical re-investigation of several controversial plants from Argentina, Brazil and Chile.
