Anatomic studies on the wood of Tucumán plants

Abstract

In the present study, the authors treat on the anatomic structure of the wood of the following species of the Tucumán flora: Prunus tucumanensis Lillo; Ilex argentina Lillo; Crinodendrum tucumanum Lillo; Solanum argentinum Bitter et Lillo; Solanum trichoneuron Lillo; Solanum foetidum Ruiz et Pav.; Solanum verbascifolium L.; and Basanacantha micracantha Lillo. In all these plants, the presence of the characteristic elements, presumable according to their taxonomic position, was comprobated.
