Abstract

Anatomy and architecture leaf was studied in Blepharocalyx salicifolius (Kunth) O. Berg to bring useful information with taxonomic purposes. This species show simple hairs, isobilateral and dorsiventral mesophyll, stomata principally anomocytic, secretory cavities, idioblast with prismatic crystals of calcium oxalate and drusas. The venation pattern is pinnate-camptodromous-brochidodromous and areolae well developed.
