Identification of fungi that affect a historical monument

Abstract

A number of fungi inducing biodeterioration of a historical monument are here reported. The mentioned taxa are described and illustrated. Efficiency tests of biocides on isolated fungi were carried out. Fungi present in the air, being considered as potencial pollutants, were identified.
