Abstract

Samples of tobacco leaves (Nicotiana tabacum L. var. Burley) have been collected in the Department of Alberdi, Province of Tucumán (Argentina). The presence of fungi which damage this culture disminishing their quality, have been detected. The species Stachybotrys atra Corda, Nigrospora oryzae (Berk. & Br.) Petch, Pestalotiopsis versicolor (Speg.) Steyaert, and Sporomiella minima (Auersw.) Ahmed & Cain, have been recorded for the first time in Tucuman, Argentina, as well as described and illustrated.
