Abstract

The authors continue the studies on the bolete flora of South America giving a taxonomic treatment of the genera and species occurring in the tropical part of the continent. Comparing the bolete flora the Old World tropics, there are relatively few representatives of the group observed in tropical South America. There are 12 species in 6 genera; 3 of these species are described as new.
