The authors refer to the storied structure of the different parts in the wood of Cascaronia astragalina Griseb., which has not been mentioned before for this genus. An other characteristic are the radins in series of one, rarely of two, and from 3 to 11 cells high. This dispositions is followed by all the wooden parts, being each division from 0,15 to 0,18 mm high, which corresponds to on of the finest types of ripple marks mentioned for this family. It also proves that the storied structure is common to almost all tribes of the Leguminosne family, although it is more often found with Dalbergieae and Sophorcae.
