Estado del conocimiento del orden Plecoptera en la provincia de Misiones, Argentina

Abstract

“State of knowledge of the order Plecoptera in the province of Misiones, Argentina”. A preliminary inventory of the order Plecoptera for the province of Misiones is presented with the aim of contributing to the knowledge of its biodiversity. The examined adults and nymphs are held in the collection of Instituto de Biodiversidad Neotropical (IBN- UNT-CONICET), they correspond to collections made between October and November of 1986, 1998, 2001, 2009, and 2010. The specimens were collected from lotic environments of 18 different locations, mostly in protected Areas, seven previous bibliographic records are also included. The number of identified species rises to 28, grouped into 4 genera and 2 families, 8 of these species correspond to new records for the country and 14 to new locations.
