Two new species for the genus Horistonotus Candèze 1860 (Coleoptera: Elateridae) and a redescription of Horistonotus farinosus Candèze 1891

The two new species Horistonotus angularis and Horistonotus quillu, both from Argentina, and a redescription of Horistonotus farinosus Candèze 1891 are presented. They belong to a group of species with a simple tarsal claw. They have proepisternum with posterior margin with rectangular notch and a hindwing vein MP4 without apparent crossvein to CUA2. Drawings and Scanning Electron Microscope photographs are provided to enhance some of the characters.
