Abstract

Coleopteran species found in soybean crops and surrounding vegetation in Tucumán, Argentina, are identi fied. Weekly samplings were made during the 2005/ 06 agricultural season in three lots, one in Leales and the other two in Burruyacu. Sixteen families, 28 genera and 20 species of coleopterans were identified. Chauliognathus sulcaticollis (Cantharidae), Melanophthalma sp. (Latridiidae), Epitrix argentinensis, Charistema sp, Chrysodina cuprescens (Chrysomelidae) and Omoides sp. (Curculionidae), are cited for the first time associated to soybean crops in the province of Tucumán.
