Parasitic nematodes of freshwater fishes from Catamarca, Argentina

The purpose of this note is to report the nematodes Procamallanus (Spirocamallanus) huacraensis Ramallo, 2008 and Contracaecum sp. Type II lar vae Moravec, Kohn & Fernandes, 1993, in Trichomycterus corduvensis Weyenbergh, 1877 and Jenysnsia obscura (Weyenbergh, 1877), respectively, from the province of Catamarca, Argentina. This paper extends the geographic distribution of P. (S.) huacraensis and a new host is recorded for Contracaecum sp., in Argentina.
