Abstract

Erythrolamprus albertguentheri (Colubridae) is a species endemic to the Chaco region of Bolivia, Paraguay and Argentina. We document a first record of the presence of E. albertguentheri in the department of Santa Cruz (Bolivia) outside its known distribution range and we expand its geographical distribution towards northern Bolivia. We also report a first case of predation on Leptodactylus fuscus (Leptodactylidae). E. albertguentheri is one of the least studied colubrid species and data on its distribution and natural history are still incipient.
