Misiones is the Argentine province with the greatest biodiversity in the country. With regard to Lepidoptera and especially to diurnal butterflies, there are more than twice as many species as in the other provinces. However, there are still species from neighboring countries not found in Argentine territory. In this paper, they are made known through collected material and photographs, fifteen unpublished records of Papilionoidea for Argentina (8 Lycaenidae, 1 Riodinidae and 6 Hesperiidae) are disclosed, of which four genera were unpublished for the country (Cupathecla, Perophthalma, Nicephellus and Zonia), all from Misiones. There are also three new provincial records for this province (Strymon lucena, Heliopetes orbigera and Zopyrion evenor). The presence of Yphthimoides yphthima is confirmed for the south of the province and Adelpha plesaure phliassa for the Iguazu National Park. After 91 years without records, Protelbella ruficauda was found in the east of the province. The present work confirms that in Misiones there are still many more species to be cited for the country.
