A nest containing two eggs of the Short-tailed Antthrush, Chamaeza campanisona (Li- chtenstein, 1823), found on October 15, 2014, in the province of Misiones, Argentina, is described. The nest was found inside the cavity of a rotten trunk of the “ambay” tree ( Ce- cropia pachystachya ) (cavity/with tunnel/simple/platform). The nest was made of dry leaf litter, with leaves at least 4.5 cm wide. It contained two short subelliptical eggs, of an opaque white color, with calcareous material over the cuticle seen as “spots” on part of their surface; they were not completely smooth. Moreover, one of the eggs presented small wrinkles. Egg measurements were greater than those known for the species. Observations of the alarm behavior of the incubating individual are also reported.
