Abstract

“Confirmation of the presence of Azara’s agouti ( Dasyprocta azarae ) (Ro- dentia: Dasyproctidae) in the province of Corrientes, Argentina”. The presence of Azara’s agouti has been reported in several publications for the province of Corrientes (Argentina), although without any concrete evidence to support these claims. In this communication, the first documented records of this species in northeastern Corrientes are provided, confirming its presence there and expanding its distribution by 70 km to the south of the southernmost locality known in the country for this species.
