Abstract

Eighteen genera of plant parasitic nematodes were identified from 158 sugar cane (Saccharum officinarum L.) samples taken in areas of Famaillá, Cruz Alta, Tafí Viejo, Trancas, Graneros, Chicligasta and Burruyacú of the province of Tucumán (Argentina). Tylenchorhynchus, Pratylenchus, Trichodorus, Meloidogyne, Helicotylenchus, Xiphinema, Tylenchus, Aphelenchoides, Aphelenchus, Diphtherophora, Macroposthonia y Ditylenchus were the genera most frequently observed. Other genera as Psilenchus, Tylencholaimellus, Hoplolaimellus, Hoplolaimus, Hemicycliophora, Paratylenchus y Heterodera were also observed.
