About the presence of a new Macrotricidae for the Argentine Cladoceran fauna: Echinisca palearis (Harding, 1955) (Crustacea, Cladocera, Macrothricidae)

Abstract

The presence of Echinisca palearis (Harding, 1955) in ponds of northwestern Argentina is reported. This species is new for the Argentine Cladoceran fauna. Parthenogenetic and efipial females and the male are redescribed; environmental data are also included.
