Observations are made on the egg pods of 14 species of grashoppers. The entire egg pods and their parts were measured, described and figured. Data on average number of eggs per pod, length and width of the eggs of the different species are also added. In several cases, data on the type of diapause are given. Some conclusions related to the families ACRIDIDAE (Gomphocerinae and Melanoplinae, and ROMALEIDAE (Romaleinae), are also drawn out.
