Abstract

?Correlation of the Marine Carboniferous of Argentina with international standards?. Subsequent to the appearance of the 1989 Global Stratigraphic Chart (Cowie & Basset, 1989), there have been important advances in the knowledge of most of the Systems, for which the International Commission of Stratigraphy (ICS) of the IUGS has facing its update. In it, some new aspects are introduced, such as modifications in the symbols of some Periods, numerical references to the Global Geological Map and a brief annex of comments and observations.
