Abstract

?Magmatism and gold mineralization in Cañada del Bayo, Cumbres Calchaquíes, Tucumán, Argentina?. An auriferous anomaly is described. At the northern western Sierras Pampeanas morphoestructural environment, in Tucumán, Argentina, localizes. The ore is diseminated and origins in the hydrothermal-pneuma-tolitic aportation, derived from a granodioritic intrusive body to biotitic schists wall rock. The mineralizing process was complex, including brecchiament, musovitic alteration, tourmalinization, and xenotime, monazite, apatite, rutile and manganotitaniferous magnetite deposition with was followed by quarziferous veiny containing electrum disemination. Structurally is an stockwork. Geochemical sampling allows to enclose an 1,27 square kilometers area 430 ppb of gold values average an anomalous contents of Ce, Cr, Ni, Nd, Nb, Ta, Hf, Cs, rare earths, platinum and paladium.
