Abstract

?Gold and silver in Cumbres Calchaquíes, Province of Tucumán, Argentina?. Gold and silver anomalies have been analized in South of Cumbres Calchaquíes, Province of Tucumán, Argentina. The occurrences of quartz gangue are situated in the faults of metamorphic and granitic rocks of the Paleozoic ages. Microscopy studies and chemical determination support the idea that a hydrothermal (epithermal?) activity related to granitic intrusion (?), took place in the area. According to the later it is suggested a detailed prospection program for gold-silver in this wide zone of the province.
