?The La María granitic pluton, sierra de Tecka, Languiñeo department, Chubut province (Argentina)?. La María is a stock, a minor evidence of the mayor Sierra Tepuel-Tecka Languiñeo plutonism. Epizonal granite, along with an assemblage of aplites, granitic and rhyolitic porphyry and granophires as small intrusive bodies or dykes are represented. Contact metamorphism has affected Lepá Formation of Liasic age, and Miocene sedimentites cover unconformably the granite; from this field relation the time span of the pluton emplacement is infered.
Chemical analyses and CIPW norm calculations released data to establish a comparison with experimental petrology. They were plotted in a Q-Ab-FK-An isobaric phase diagram at 1 kb P H2 to determine crystal-melt relations. The results of petrographic observations concerning to mineralogy and secuence of crystallization agree with experimental data.
