Abstract

Topaz presence in the granite-basement contact, Papachacra area, prov. of Catamarca, Argentina?. lt consists of a quartzolite dike of NNE-SSW strike emplazed in metamorphic rocks of Loma Corral Formation close ncar the contact with the granite (Papachacra Formation). It is considered that the postmagmatic, hot fluids related with the intrusive were responsibles of this mineralization.
