Abstract

?Nama ? La Tinta and the beginning of Gondwana?. A comparison between Nama and La Tinta Groups shows a common southern Africa-Argentina marine ensialic basin evolved from a late Precambrian to an early Paleozoic time. This sedimentary cycle, inferred as a continental convergence type, developed during the second part of the Brazilean ? Pan African orogenic event as a consequence of it, and it is believed to be the first nexus welding South America and Africa during the gondwanaland earliest evolution.
